SEE OUR COST-REDUCTION/INCENTIVE PROGRAM

The only other financial obligations you have to the corps is $10.00 for each bus trip during the season.

What are my other responsibilities?

Your responsibilities to the Corps are very simple.

Members are expected to be present at all rehearsals/performances/exhibitions. . We appreciate and realize that there may be a family, work or school commitment that conflicts with a corps event. We certainly recognize and oblige these events. However, the greatest responsibility you have towards the Sunrisers is the commitment of your time and dedication to the corps. We in turn committ to you, a rewarding experience in which the friendships and memories will last a lifetime!

Members are also expected to have their music, drill or flagwork prepared to the best of their abilities

Members participate in all fundraising activities such as booster stickers, bowlathons,

Members will engage in activities that promote the Sunrisers, such as recruitment efforts.

Do I need to know how to play, dance or march before I join?

Not necessarily. While having prior experience as a brass or percussion player is an added advantage, over the years we have had many members with no prior brass or percussion experience who have had successful marching careers in the Sunrisers. Many high school and college woodwind players have transitioned to brass or percussion instruments with a high degree of achievement. If you have no experience, the earlier you join the better - so we can get you the training you need.

Do I need my own equipment?

No. All equipment needed to be a member of the Sunrisers is provided by the corps. Uniforms -- Provided!!! Horns -- Provided!!! Drums -- Provided!!! Pit Percussion -- Provided!!! The finest instructional staff in the world of drumcorps -- Provided!!!
