Non-monetary Support for the Sunrisers

Monetary contributions are not the only form of needed assistance that you can bring to the Sunrisers. Our day-to-day operations require manpower, brainpower and/or equipment that you may possess or have access to.

Our Wish List

Rolling Uniform Racks - for storage of our uniform parts on the corps trucks.     Donated by William Thorpe on 9/5/07

Garment Bags & Hangers - approximately 100 needed of each. More is better. Less is ok. For storage on equipment trucks.

Truck Tires - for our two equipment trucks. Specifications will be furnished on request.

Full Size Mannequin - to display our uniform at recruitment venues.

Portable Outdoor Tents - offers shade & protection at:

  1. Alumni season kickoff family picnics. Larger sizes preferable.
  2. Rehearsals, in the event of rain. Larger sizes preferable.
  3. Booster/Souvenir tables. Smaller size preferable.

Scaffolding - for use in building elevated structure for viewing drill at rehearsals.

Brass Instrument Repair Person - needed to perform maintenance on our brass instrument inventory.

Heat Press Machine - for use in applying heat-transfer images to T-Shirts that we sell at our booster tables. Durable enough to produce sufficient inventory for public sale.

Printing & Duplication Services - sheet music, show programs, posters, flyers, sheet music etc…

Food & Drink - juices, bottled water, soda, (No alcoholic beverages please), sandwich materials, fruits, salads, burgers, chicken, snacks etc…

Facilities Connections - currently looking for other suitable facilities for our rehearsals - outdoor & indoor.

Nursing & Medical - travel with the corps when available to administer “first aid” & basic “first aid” supplies.

Sewing (Sergers) Machines - Would you be interested in helping us with alterations and adjustments to our uniforms ?

Transportation - Can you assist with booking & coordinating coach buses for competitions and other trips ?

Uniform Materials - Do you have the ability to donate or solicit the donation of materials for uniforms ?

Boosters/Souvenirs -

  1. Services - Would you be available to man our Souvenir/Booster table at competitions, performances etc… ?
  2. Inventory - Can you donate or have you donated t-shirts, wallets, key chains, hats etc… ?

Housing - We occasionally need to put members up overnight during camp weekends, etc… Rather than ask them to drive home again or get a motel room, we find it is cheaper and easier. Gym floors, YMCAs, Legion halls, etc… showers available if possible.

Food, Paper Plates, Utensils - for our Alumni Season-Kickoff Family Picnics, or other events. Burgers, chicken, hotdogs, side dishes, napkins, large trash bags etc…

Food Preparation - An RV preparing food for members at low cost or even donated, so that members do not have to drive off site, spending tons of money and being late back to rehearsals on the day of competitions.

Handyman - Can you help us redesign the rack and storage systems inside our equipment trucks or build equipment carts ?

Laptop Computers - any hardware that a corporation might find too old to maintain, but which would run Microsoft Office applications, web browsers, etc… Instead of retiring this type equipment, it could be put to good use here. Mac is acceptable also.

Portable Gas Generators - to power lights inside the truck and behind the truck in nighttime, low-light scenarios.

Portable Printers - any 8.5 X 11.0 type.

Power Inverters - for powering & charging laptops from car batteries.

Aluminum Conduit - for flag poles. 1” diameter in multiples of 6 foot lengths (6,12,18 etc). This saves us the cost of purchasing commercially made “corps style” flag poles.

Field Striping Paint - for lining grass fields at new outdoor facilities.

Soap Bars - for lining parking lots. Ivory Soap is best.

Equipment Trucks - Ours are small and getting old. If you know someone who can donate a truck in good working order or if you can lead us to good deals.

Truck Drivers - to shows, to rehearsals etc… Winter and Summer. Mostly Summer.

Golf Carts or ATVs - Our equipment truck holds carts that carry our pit equipment from the trucks to the field. A used or new donated ATV or golf cart can relieve our “pit crew” (front sideline) performers of the need to physically drag hundreds of pounds of equipment up and down hills in uniform prior to a performance.

Trailer for ATV or Golf Cart - pulled behind a vehicle with a trailer hitch. Preferably, this cart can also be hooked up to the ATV or Golf Cart, loaded with pit equipment and used to transport same from the truck to the practice or performance field.

Rehearsal Facilities - soccer/football fields, legion halls, schools auditoriums, cafeterias, etc…

Printing / Copying Services - used for winter/spring learning events (drill & music), open houses, recruitment materials etc…

Connections to Fundraising Resources - Can you help us ?

Video Equipment - This can be used for educational purposes as well as recruitment.

Camcorders, Cameras - etc…

Projectors -

Projection Screens -

Monitors - for playback of video / dvd.

2 Way Radios - for communication between admin, staff, sections etc. at events and rehearsals.

Free or Discounted Web Hosting - eCommerce, databases, data storage etc…

Audio Equipment - for recording & playback.
