| Sunrisers Hall of Fame: Class of 2005 |
| Drum Major |

Tony, along with many others in this group, will tell you he is mystified as to why hes
been selected for the Hall of Fame. After all, what did he ever do? Well, to begin with, he
gave the Sunrisers 10 solid years of devotion and hard work, beginning in 1975 when the corps
clearly needed new blood to rebuild and ultimately rise to the top of the drum corps pyramid.
In 1981 he was honored as Sunriser of the Year and was lead drum major from 1980 to 1985.
But perhaps the most revealing thing about the mans character is not his on-field
contributions but his willingness to pitch in wherever there was a job to be done or a problem solved.
Tony assisted corps management behind the scenes without seeking acknowledgement,
and when the Great Wall was collecting all those drum trophies, they were wearing
harnesses designed and hand-made by Tony White, on his own time and at his own expense.
There is no mystery here, for a man like Tony White deserves every bit of his induction to the
Sunrisers Hall of Fame.
