If ever there was a Sunriser who represented the corps with dignity and class, it was Tom Beresford. Even before he became the very standard for the look and style of the corps drum major, his intensity, work ethic, and demeanor as a guard member earned the admiration of his peers. Once he donned the white suit, however, he had no peer. What Tom represented each time he fronted the corps was the very essence of the Sunriser approach to entertainment: the exquisite balance between sophisticated control and unmitigated wailing. His time was true and his bearing awesome. On and off the field he was the total Sunriser and consummate gentleman. Presently, he is one of the most highly regarded judges, administrators, and instructors in the international pageantry actitivity. It is with these things in mind that we induct Tom Beresford into the Sunrisers' Hall of Fame.
