Gene Bennett: He was a leader as the corps' color guard captain in the 1960s,
and later as the visual designer when the Sunrisers came back from the "nearly-dead"
in the early 1970s and won DCA titles in 1977 and 1978.
Gene's visual design was cutting-edge, in keeping with the Sunrisers'
"push the envelope" tradition, and was a big factor in the corps' success
during the mid-to-late 1970s.
Gene also has been a respected judge and judging administrator, and
currently is a visual instructor/consultant with the Caballeros.
