Steiny has had drum corps in his blood since the late '50s when he first picked up a baritone bugle.
By the time he came to the Sunrisers he was already an accomplished player and instructor, not only qualified
in brass but also in drill design, show coordination and color guard. To some this would suggest a person who
doesn't know what he wants to be when he grows up, but we recognize Bobby Steinhilber as the drum corps equivalent
of the Renaissance Man. While it is arguably true that the Sunrisers owe a measurable amount of their success to
his efforts throughout the years (and he has come back, time and time again whenever there was need of his skills),
it is equally obvious that his masterful teaching of countless others across the activity continues to reflect
honor to the corps with which he is so closely associated. It is for this reason also that the Sunrisers are
indeed proud of him, and hereby induct Bobby Steinhilber into the Sunriser Hall of Fame.
