Gary Williams .. aka Mr. Nuts, Dr. Nuts, Nuts
Marched 1974 - 2000
Played - soprano, mellophone, baritone, contra bass, snare, quints, bass drum
and cymbals
Still marching, these bones are beginning to get a little old and a little worn
out. My years with the Sunrisers have been a terrific experience that I would
not change for anything. If I could I would do drum corps as a full time
job.
I think what I would enjoy most if possible is :
- be able to hold a party for everyone I ever marched with for as long as they
could stay or
- being able to hold a party for every Sunriser for as long as they could stay
or
- be able to give the corps enough money so that it would insure that the
corps would be self sufficient and would never have to go through a 1993 again.
I would also like to send this out to all of the alumni, the current Sunrisers
want to see and hear from all of you. There are so many stories and traditions
that have been passed on. We all are a part of a terrific family and having
been a part of the Orange, Blue and White is a special feeling. A feeling of
unity. It also means that no matter how tough things get for anyone of us, we
can never be alone. One call, card, letter from anyone that was ever
associated with the corps, will bring all of us, Sunrisers, to your side.
I pray and hope that the Sunrisers that have passed on can see the corps today
and are happy with what they see.
More than anything I would like to thank the alumni for making this
organization a place I can call home and for the current membership keeping it
a place where I can feel love, affection and appreciation.
Thank you,
--- Gary Williams
