Hello my name is Kay Quinlan and I got involved with the Sunrisers in 1986 and
I have been there ever since.
There are so many memories to tell, but the best
was winning DCA in "87 & 88" and we know who really won in "89." I've marched
under a lot of great instructors, for example: Dave China along with Keith
Warfeild, Ed Doscher, Budd Williams, Chris Bauer and finally Joe Vala. Thanks
for teaching me all I know no matter what section I was in. The Sunrisers have
taught me how respect other people and other Drum Corps in our circuit.
Being an 86 rookie, with Aileen, Tara & Doreen was great. We had great years
and good times, and last year I was the only one left from 86 ... Thanks
guys !!!
Sun taught me the meaning of hard work and dedication and how it pays off
in the end and how to let my feelings flow when doing a performance.
The Sunrisers are defiantly a family and one that I am very proud to be a part
of. Thank you Gary for all you support and the hard work you put into the
Corps to keep it going and for listening to all the members bitch when we all
have a problem. That's why you are the Director!!! Thanks to all my fellow
Corps members, past and present for all the great memories, memories I can
treasure for a very long time. Wearing the Blue, White and Orange is something
to be very proud of and I am proud to say I am a true Sunriser within a great
organization. "THATS IT BABY!!!!!!!!"
