Greetings fellow Sunrisers! My name is Dawn Marie Mackiewicz. I marched from '93-'96 as a baritone player and am greatly looking forward to returning for the following '98 season.

During the '97 season, I was absent from marching at Sun due to a miracle that I never thought possible. I got the opportunity to march euphonium for the Blue Devils Junior Drum and Bugle Corps of Concord, California.

My future plans are to hopefully return to Sun this year for my fifth year in standing, go back to Blue Devils for my BONUS AGE OUT YEAR in '99 and of course, return to Sun to continue my drum corps life.

I am currently attending Penn State University and am a part of the PSU Marching Blue Band. I am also involved with the Pride of the Lions Pep Band, Concert Band, and Trombone Chior. My major is Music Education with trombone being my primary instrument.

Because I joined Sunrisers at the age of fifteen, I was offed an opportunity early enough to benefit me no matter what I planned on doing with my life. It was because of the support and family-like dedication that encouraged me to reach my goals. You helped me make a dream come true, now I have even more determination to make the others a reality as well. Thank you all for believing in me.
