I Marched Snare Drum in 1968 and taught the drumline in 1978,79,82,83 and 84.

I am married to Christine for 20 years (who marched in the Bablylon Islanders with me) and we live in Uniondale, New York.

I presently own and operate a Drum School, have written 19 books on various topics of drumming and write a column for Modern Drummer Magazine. I also am a performer/composer/business manager of a percussion rooted entertainment troupe called the Hip Pickles. We have a cd out called "Hip Pickles--Out of the Jar" and we have performed on Regis and Kathy Lee Live, MTV and the Charles Perez Show. We also perform in Music Festivals throughout the country(now going international), Corporate events, School Arts in Education Assemblies, Summer Camps and Drum Clinics.

The experiences and friendships that I've gained from being a Sunriser have been numerous and "ones" that I will forever treasure. Being a Sunriser helped me grow as a person and as a musician. Great times!

Christine and I still actively follow Drum Corps and I am proud of the achievements of the present day Sunrisers. I admire the drive and spirt of the corps, staff and the administration. The progress that the Sunrisers have made in the 90's is absoulutly inspirational. Keep up the Great Work!
