Hi!   My father was one of the FIRST original Sunrisers back in the 1950s when the corps first started.

When I was 7 years old, I marched in parades as a Sunriser in my St. Clements Drum Corps uniform, right next to my dad.
The Sunrisers had the French hats and were playing all French music while wearing orange shirts and blue pants with a white cummerbund and sash.
I marched in the Thunderstreaks Drum Corps, the North Bellmore Flames and then into the Sunrisers when I was 14, when Frank Nickless was teaching in 1965-1971.
I was in the solo soprano line. My dad played in the soprano line also.
I've been through it all, the weekends, getaways and DCA.
I am the CEO/Publisher of Nightlife Magazine, New York Sportscene Magazine and Interactive TV. My company sponsored the Sunrisers in 1968, 69, 70 and 71.

"Once you are a Sunriser, you are always a Sunriser. It's in your blood."
