Marched 86 thru 91 inclusive.
Baritone every year except 89. Played Mellophone in 89.
I grew up near Pittsburgh. My first D&BC experience was in the Steel City
Ambassadors, in '84 and '85.
Work and school took me east, so I managed to
find the Sunrisers in a roundabout way: Bernie Pack referred me to George
Knoebel, George referred me to Stan, and the rest was pretty routine.
I continued to march through 1991 even though I lived in Boston.
Now I live in California -- definitely too far to commute.
I'm an active pilot now, so if you ever see a small plane
buzzing you during rehearsal, don't call the FAA.
